Accented Voices was founded by Hannah Joelle, an award winning voice actor working across English and Arabic.

After years in the industry, Hannah noticed a consistent gap. Many agencies did not fully understand Arabic dialects, and Arab-accented English was often handled without enough specificity or cultural awareness. Accents were grouped together, dialect differences were overlooked, and casting decisions were sometimes made without a clear understanding of how these voices actually sound.

That frustration extended beyond voiceover work. Watching films and television, Hannah repeatedly noticed Arabic accents and dialects portrayed inaccurately. Characters sounded off. Regional distinctions were blurred. For audiences familiar with these sounds, it was noticeable and distracting.

Accented Voices was created to address that gap.

The agency focuses on Arab-accented English and Arabic voice talent, chosen for lived experience, clarity, and professional skill. Dialects are treated with care. Accents are approached with understanding and intention.

Hannah has long been fascinated by accent and dialect, and by the way language reflects identity and place. Accented Voices is the result of that focus, built to give these voices informed and thoughtful representation.
